They won the Prize for contemporary music at the competition in London in 2000 and after the invitation of Proquartet they took part in the programme of Centre Européen de Musique de chambre de Fontainebleau.

Since its foundation Diotima has actively performed on the international stage.

They have participated in a number of European festivals among them L’Auditorium du Louvre, Festival d’Automne à Paris, Musica à Strasbourg, Ars Musica à Bruxelles, le Festival d’Aldeburgh, l’Auditori à Barcelone, Casa da Música à Porto et le Festival d’Athènes. Future concert engagements include Helsinki Festival, Weimar Kunstfest, Scène Nationale d’Orléans, Cité de la Musique Paris (Biennale Quatuor à Cordes), Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Wigmore Hall London.

They have toured Japan, the USA and South America, Mexico, China and Korea.

The Quartet’s repertoire ranges from Haydn to the composers of our time, with particular focus on the Classical period, French Romanticism, the early twentieth century, and a selection of major works from the last 50 years.

Their debut CD of works by Lachenmann and Nono received the Young Talents prize at the award ceremony Diapason d’or de l’année.
 

They released also CDs featuring music by Janacek (Diapason d’or, November’ 08), Lucien Durosoir, Schoenberg.
