In 2001, Evgeni Bozhanov went to study in Germany. His international career started after he won prizes at several competitions, including the Svjatoslav Richter in Moscow, the Queen Elisabeth in Brussels and the Van Cliburn in Fort Worth, Texas.
In 2010/11, Evgeni Bozhanov appeared in Brussels and toured Japan, playing Beethoven’s 3rd and Chopin’s 1st Piano Concerto. He took part in the 3rd Abu Dhabi Classics season with the Orchestra Nazionale della RAI under Juraj Valčuha, opened the 2011 Sofia Festival in May with a solo recital and played recitals at the Lille Piano Festival as well as at the Festival La Roque d´Anthéron and the Bad Kissingen Summer Festival.
In the following seasons he made his debuts at the Musikverein Vienna, the Suntory Hall Tokyo, the Philharmonie Berlin, the Royal Festival Hall London and the Tonhalle Düsseldorf. Recitals followed in Munich, Essen, Aachen and Krakow as well as at the Schubertiade Vilabertran (Spain), the Gulbenkian Foundation Lisbon and the Serate Musicali Milan. Furthermore he played with the Swedish Radio Orchestra Stockholm and the Lahti Symphony Orchestra. He has been on tour with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and Yutaka Sado in Japan, toured Europe with the Orchestra Nazionale della RAI under Juraj Valčuha and played concerts with the Philharmonia Orchestra London and Tugan Sokhiev as well as with the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the BR Kammerorchester München.
More recently he played recitals in Munich, Oporto, Toulouse, Salzburg and Milan Serate Musicali as well as concerts with Ensemble Wien (soloists of the Wiener Philharmoniker) at the Musikverein, and with the Orchestre National de Belgique, the Bavarian Radio Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestra Haydn Bolzano. With the Hyogo Performing Arts Centre Orchestra under the baton of Yutaka Sado, Evgeni Bozhanov performed his 4th Japan Tour which culminated with a solo recital at the Suntory Hall. Highlights of 2016 and 2017 will be recitals in Munich, Warsaw, Lisbon, Piano Festival di Brescia Bergamo, Palermo, Coimbra, concerts with the Athens State Orchestra at the Flanders Festival in Ghent, Orchestra Toscanini in Parma, Chamber Orchestra of the Bavarian Radio, Malmö Symphony, Liverpool Philharmonic, the Filarmonica Toscanini in Parma, Haydn Orchester in Bolzano, the Orchestra dell´Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. At the Royal Festival Hall in London he will have concerts with the Philharmonia under the baton of Juraj Valcuha and with the Tonkünstler Orchester conductor Yutaka Sado, he will play at the Wiener Musikverein.
