Nevyan Lenkov was born in 1978 in Pleven, Bulgaria. He was four, when he first started to play the drums. After graduating the Bulgarian National Music School named after the great P. Pipkov in 1997, he completed a course of studies in classical percussion at the National Music Academy of Sofia.
It was his great interest in Jazz music and his desire to gain new impressions that brought him to Munich in 2001. In 2007 he received a master’s degree in jazz drumming at the Richard Strauss Conservatory.
His education in classical music and Jazz as well as his passion for modern music introduced him to the Crossover genre. With his band Only Juzzt and MGC, he won 2nd prize in 2010 and 3rd prize in 2012 at the Terem Crossover International Music Competition.
Despite his long stay in Germany, his style of playing is greatly influenced by Bulgarian rhythms. He currently also works as a music producer, producing tracks that reflect his passion for the various genres he was lucky enough to have come across and his new found love for electronic music.
