At the prestigious NPS series in Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Hugo Oliveira performed Catalani's La Wally (Pedone) and Saint-Saëns' Samson et Dalila (2e. Philistin), both operas conducted by Giuliano Carella and R. Wagner's Lohengrin (Dritte Edler) under Jaap van Zweden. In 2010, Hugo Oliveira sung the tittle role in Un Retour by Oscar Strasnoy, at the Festival in Aix-en-Provence, under Roland Harabaydian.
Further operatic performances include Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro (Figaro) in Porto's Coliseu under Youngmin Park, Milhaud’s Les malheurs d’Orphée (Orphée) at Paris’ Cité de la Musique, Ravel's L'enfant et les Sortilèges (Fauteuil) under Wayne Marshall (Concertgebouw), Purcell's Dido and Eneas (Eneas), John Blow's Venus and Adonis (Adonis), Destouches' Le Carnaval et La Folie (Momus), Monteverdi's Orfeo (Plutone) with Divino Sospiro under Enrico Onofri and Cavalieri's Rappresentatione di Anima et di Corpo at Berlin Staatsoper, with AKAMUS under Rene Jacobs.
Within the realm of oratorio, his repertoire includes works such as Mozart's Requiem with Gulbenkian Orchestra under Michel Corboz, Liszt's Die Legende von der Heiligen Elisabeth with Gennadi Rozhdestvensky, Mozart's C minor Mass with ONLP under Sascha Goetzel, Brahms' Requiem under Marcus Creed, Stravinsky's Les Noces under Rob Vermeulen and Stravinsky's Pulcinella with Martin Andrè. Amongst baroque oratorio he has performed J. S. Bach Cantatas with Gulbenkian Orchestra under Ton Koopman, Bach's Johannes Passion with the 18c Orchestra under Frans Bruggen and Handel's Solomon under Paul McCreesh.
