Ethno Ensemble Ih Tsetsn
from China, regions of Inner Mongolia

Ih Tsetsn is an ethnic ensemble, unique in many ways. It is based in Beijing, but its members had grown up in the regions of Inner Mongolia, into herding families. They all started very early to play various traditional bowed and plucked string instruments from their parents and other folk artists and later received systematic, academic training on their instruments and were able to bring their artistry to a new level. They represent a fresh generation of young Mongolian performers, who combine adept musicianship with a profound sensibility bestowed upon them through many years of living on the expansive grassland. Ih Tseth ensemble have won many prizes, toured all over China, as well as in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Sweden, Belgium, Canada and USA.
The musicians are lead and conducted by Zhu Zhizhong, a renowned composer with many prizes and different projects, who had created music for TV series, multiple winner of the Chinese National Radio and Television Arts Government Award.
