Ukrainian Youth Orchestra will perform in Varna conducted by its founder – Oksana Lyniv. Remember that name – she made history as the first female conductor in the history of Bayreuth Festival. Oksana Lyniv first gained international attention as a finalist in the Gustav Mahler International Conducting Competition, winning the third prize, then she had been a musical assistant to GMD Kirill Petrenko at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. As of 2022, she is a Music Director of Teatro Comunale di Bologna, becoming the first female chief conductor of an Italian opera house ever. In 2024, she made her debut at Metropoliten opera, conducting Puccini’s “Turandot” and conducted the Vienna Philharmonic at the Salzburg Mozart Week. Despite all these prestigious arrangements, the Ukrainian Youth Orchestra remains is still of a great importance for her. Be there to hear their interpretation of Brahms’ cathedral – like Fourth Symphony, as well as the new version of Paganini’s music arranged for quartet and orchestra, with the accomplished musicians of Paganini ensemble Wien and more surprising and premiere works.
