Multinational Music Project for the upcoming Spanish Presidency of the Council of EU

Varna will welcome the upcoming Spanish Presidency of the Council of EU with a concert of

Vienna Chamber Orchestra, with a piece composed for this concert by Spanish composer Esteban Sanz, the famous Adagio by Bulgarian composer Krasimir Kyurkchiyski, Beethoven’s Ode of Joy from his Ninth Symphony. Soloists, Choir and Instrumentalists from Varna State Opera and Morski Zvutsi Choir will join for performing Ode of Joy. Pianist Daniel Vnukowski has toured throughout Europe, North America, South America and Asia and made his Carnegie Hall debut in 2019. He is famous with his outreach concerts for remote communities in Canada and Collingwood Summer Music Festival. In Varna, he will perform Frederic Chopin’s First Piano concerto as part of his personal mission to re-discover his roots. The Vienna Chamber Orchestra’s motto is We are culture and they do stand for it. Over the decades, the orchestra has worked closely with conductors such as Carlo Zecchi and Yehudi Menuhin. Vienna Chamber Orchestra has music series in Vienna and many tours. In Varna they will play under the bаton of Pedro Halffter. Born in Madrid, he has conducted on many stages of great prestige, such as Vienna Musikverein, the Philharmonie and the Konzerthaus in Berlin, the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London. Some of the highlights of the recent seasons for Halffter include The Flying Dutchman with Bryn Terfel at the Bilbao Opera House and several concerts by invitation from the Munich National Theater. A chamber orchestra from the capital of classical music, an interesting multinational musical staff and the intriguing blending of especially created modern piece, one of the most loved by the audiences romantic concerts and the spectacular finale with the hymn of United Europe – that definitely makes this concert a genuine festival event!

![""]("https://varnasummerfest.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/0697-2023.06.30-VS-copy-S.jpg")
