А young and innovative ensemble, founded in 2008 in Stavanger by the violinist Jan Bjoranger who strongly believes that when performed by happy people, music can reach everybody. And he proves that with his 1B1 – unique ensemble with many faces, that interprets equally well baroque masterpieces (with a special focus on Scandinavian music) and Arvo Pärt‘s works. This ensemble still stands apart from most other orchestras. One week they record Haydn concertos with Clemens Hagen and winds from the Berlin Philharmonic orchestra; the next it joins street dancers in Manhattan at New York’s River to River festival. The Vanity Fair Magazine describes this orchestra as one of the most important acts on the classical music stage of today. In Varna, they will perform with Lars Tomter, one of todays’ most outstanding soloists, „the giant of Nordic viola” Lars Tomter. He had commissioned and premiered many new concertos, he has participated in prestigious European festivals such as BBC Proms, Verbier, Lochenhaus etc. Fresh and sincere joy, radiant beautiful music and sky high performance!
