Krassimira Stoyanova will perform the main role in Dvořák’s opera “Rusalka”, which will be staged for the first time in the history of the State Opera Varna, directed by Srebrina Sokolova and conducted by Pavel Balev. Through the tragic fate of the opera's heroine, the production raises questions about the impossible connection between the invisible world and the world of people, born of technological progress, alienation from nature and consumerist passions in human existence. Dvořák’s work is not just a romantic tale of impossible love, but a philosophical reflection on man and the world he tries to subdue. Following Krassimira Stoyanova’s debut in the role at the Zurich Opera House, the critics commented: “Everything remains in the shadow of the magnificent soprano voice of Krassimira Stoyanova – a voice full of warmth and expressiveness, tender and light like nature, intonationally impeccably pure, with a free-flowing, subtly trembling vibrato. In “Rusalka”, the Bulgarian singer is a perfect choice for “Rusalka!”
