WONDROUS MACHINE is an exciting project in which baroque music and jazz are masterfully brought together in the interpretation of famous soloists – the charismatic mezzo-soprano Svetlina Stoyanova (soloist at the La Scala – Milano, the Vienna Opera, the Zurich Opera), the Pilekadone quintet (winner of the Golden Lyre and Marin Goleminov awards for excellence in performing arts); pianist, composer and improviser Konstantin Kostov (winner of the Crystal Lyre award for jazz), working in the field of Modern Jazz, Crossover Jazz, Folk Jazz; the magic jazzman, drummer and composer Hristo Yotsov and the distinguished bassist Dimitar Karamfilov. This one-of-a-kind ensemble will present its WONDROUS MACHINE on the stage of the Jubelee “Varna Summer” Festival leading the audience on a fairy-tale path from the era of the English Baroque (Purcell and Handel) to the aesthetics of jazz today.
