Ensemble Instrumental de Cantabria/ENSEIC
A unique project that unites talented young musicians from Cantabria, where the sea blends in a vibrant counterpoint with its valleys and mountains, is coming to Varna Summer Music Festival. They are young, trained in the music lecture halls of Cantabria, than continued their studies in the best European centres thanks to scholarships from the Fundación Botín and the Cantabrian Government. They are committed to chamber music paying special attention to the Spanish and particularly, Cantabrian works. Within their Ensemble Instrumental de Cantabria they are capable of combining instrumental musicians and present versatile repertoire. For the Bulgarian audience ENSEIC lead by Esteban Sanz will perform pieces by Spanish composers from the second half of XIX and beginning of XX century such as Manuel de Falla and Francisco Barbieri together with Tomas Marco, who was born in 1942 and has studied under Boulez and Stockhausen.
