The International Music Festival “Varna Summer“ has kept the tradition to provide its stage for the debut of young musicians from Varna graduating prestigious European academies. One of them is the pianist Galin Ganchev, a student at the Royal Academy of Music in London. He has selected an exquisite French programme for his debut on the festival stage in his home town.

On 28 July in the City Art Gallery at 7 p.m., Galin will perform his own interpretations of the Baroque giant, Jean-Philippe Rameau, the emblematic names of Romanticism – Gabriel Fauré and Emmanuel Chabrier, and the celebrated Maurice Ravel and Cesar Franck.

The young pianist has in his repertoire more than 130 works from Baroque to contemporary compositions. He is the soloist at major events and festivals, among which – the opening of the European Music Festival in Varna under the baton of Martin Georgiev. He has won the first prize at the Oxford Music Festival competition and has a number of solo recitals in Bulgaria and abroad.
