Hannover Trio with famous masterpieces and rediscovered works
Hannover Piano Trio – they are passionate in discovering forgotten masterpieces, they love to prepare special programs for special occasions and in 2018 they had their debut in Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie. The three of them are fine musicians – David Fruhwirth has made a solo career with leading european orchestras and has rich experience in chamber music, Johannes Krebs is teaching cello at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz and Katharina Sellheim is a much sough-after chamber music partner and Lied accompanist whose career once started with the invitation by Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau to work as a song accompanist for his master classes. They come to Varna to present the Sonata for piano trio by the German romantic composer Emilie Mayer whose works then were well known and performed all over Europe. The trio will join musical forces with the viola player Konstantin Sellheim – as a piano quartet they already have nominations for Opus Klassik awards – and will perform two works by Johannes Brahms, namely his Piano Quartets in c-moll and g-moll. A rich, entirely devoted to German music program that combines re-discovered masterpieces and well known important works from the chamber music repertoire.
