Italian Baroque Music with the world famous chamber orchestra I Solisti Veneti

The splendor of Venice and the beauty of Vivaldi, Albinoni and Corelli’s music – that is what you get if you choose to attend the concert of the world famous chamber orchestra I Solisti Veneti in Varna. Founded by Claudio Scimone in 1959, the ensemble rapidly rose to the highest international levels of brilliance and gained unconditional admiration of both critics and audiences. Here are some impressive figures – more than 6000 concerts in over 90 countries, regularly present at the most prestigious festivals all over the world (30 concerts at the Salzburg Festival among them). They have worked with the best soloists of our time such as June Anderson, Placido Domingo, Marylin Horne, Ruggero Raimondi, Itzhak Perlman, Sviatoslav Richer, Jean-Pierre Rampal and many others. In 2008, the ensemble received Una Vita per la Musica prize, awarded by Arthur Rubinstein Foundation (considered in Italy as the Nobel Prize in music) and the European Parliament honoured I Solisti Veneti with an official plaque Ambassadors of culture and music across borders. Lead by Guiliano Carella, they are going to present the music of their town in Varna – a marvelous selection of pieces by Vivaldi and Albinoni (both of them were born in Venice) and by another baroque master – Arcangelo Corelli.
