Goldberg Variations by J.S.Bach for String Trio
The remarkable Goldberg Variations are one of the summits in Johann Sebastian Bach’s keyboard works with an interesting story behind its creation. Goldberg variations will be presented in Varna in the version made for a string trio by the master of transcriptions Dmitry Sitkovetsky. The famous violinist and conductor has graduated from Moscow Conservatory and Julliard School of Music, won the first Concertino Prague competition and build a solo career performing under the baton of the biggest names among conductors. This unique person with highly acclaimed recordings and arrangements will appear on stage with the violist Andrei Gridchuk, the first viola of Berlin Deutsche Oper, winner of “Maurice Vieux” International Competition, an experienced chamber music performer who has played with Mischa Mayski, Boris Berezovski, Yuri Bashmet, Vadim Repin. And the excellent instrumentalist Bulgarian cellist Lilyana Kehayova, a fourth generation musician, who, as a passionate solo and chamber performer had participated in numerous festivals across Europe. A trio that gets together especially for their concert in Varna with music by J.S. Bach!
