The distinguished Bulgarian pianist Lyudmil Angelov will present his art together with the violist Rumen Tsvetkov on the chamber stage of “Varna Summer”.
Both of them will conduct Master classes in piano and viola within the International Summer Academy “Varna Summer“, and on 11 July they will present a special romantic programme before the audience in the City Art Gallery of Varna.
Rumen Tsvetkov has specialized in viola playing in Dallas and Chicago in the USA. He was conferred a Master’s degree at the Royal Conservatory in the Netherlands. He has performed in 35 different countries on 4 continents. He has performed on important venues worldwide such as Carnegie Hall (New York), Mozarteum (Salzburg), Wigmore Hall (London). In 2012, Maestro Zubin Mehta invited him to become the solo violist of the Royal Spanish Opera House “Queen Sofia” in Valencia.
Lyudmil Angelov won prizes at many international competitions, including the Senigallia (Italy, 1976), Fryderyk Chopin (Poland, 1985), Palm Beach International Competition (USA, 1990), Piano Masters (Monte Carlo, 1994) and World Piano Masters Tour (France, 1997).
He has delivered recitals and chamber music concerts, and is a soloist of Bulgarian and foreign orchestras conducted by high-level musicians. Lyudmil Angelov is the first winner of the Apollo Toxophoros award of the Apollonia Foundation and is a corresponding member of the Royal Academy of Arts in Toledo.
