Chamber Orchestra of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra for the first time in Bulgaria
They regularly perform at the most prestigious stages all over the world with the best soloists, they are a part of one of the leading German orchestras and this summer they will be in Varna! Founded in 2000, they would describe themselves as “Association of virtuoso” with the mission to cultivate and share the art chamber music ensembles! It is on purpose that fabulous pianist Helenе Grimaud chose them to record two of the Mozart piano concertos for Deutsche Grammophon. That recording reached number one in many classical music charts. Radoslaw Szulc, a co-founder of this chamber orchestra, a concertmaster and conductor, has an impressive collection of prizes from international violin competitions such as “Wieniawski”, “Spohr”, “Sarasate” and“Sibelius”. This outstanding chamber ensemble will be performing in Varna with the swiss pianist Adrian Oetiker as a soloist in a program that brings together the Frederic Chopin’s Second piano concerto and the dramatic encounter between the music minds of Schubert and Mahler (as Mahler gave an orchestra voice of Schubert’s “The Maiden and the Death”) The BRKO also performs with internationally renowned soloists such as Julia Fischer, Mischa Maisky, Sabine Meyer, Diana Damrau, Lang Lang, Vadim Repin.

The Orchestra will also perform a special Public Dress Rehearsal for pupils from the National School of Arts in Varna on 29 June before the concert and also an exceptional master class with students from Bulgaria on 30 June.
